Was born at May 20, 1940.

Graduated from Donetsk Polytechnical Institute in 1963.

Doctor of Tech. Sci. (1977), Professor (1980),
Laureate of State Prize of Ukraine (1996),
Laureate of Prize named after A.A.Skotchinsky (1990),
Honored Miner of Ukraine (1996),
Member of Academy of Mining Sciences of Ukraine (1991),
Member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (1996),
Member of International Academy of Industry, Education, and Art (1995).

Was awarded with “Miner’s Glory” Decoration of 1, 2, and 3 class (1984, 1978, 1968),
“For Valiant Labour in Commemoration of 100 Years From the Birthday of V.I.Lenin” Medal (1970).

 A specialist in the fields of: basic and applied researches in rock physics; radiophysics; limiting state of solids; physico-chemical mechanics; mining of mineral deposits.

An author of more than 200 scientific works, 26 invention certificates and patents, 9 monograpths.

Co-author of the discovery “Ability of Coal Organic Matter to Form Metastable Single Phase Systems With Gases Similar To Solid Solutions”.
